Why is the camera not recognized? C2D does not start or asks for a firmware upgrade

After an upgrade of w10 or when changing cameras, the camera will sometimes not be recognized by C2D anymore. One of the following messages could appear:

• “ActiveUSB system camera driver not installed”, “Sorry, cannot continue without a camera connected”
• “WARNING: Firmware version must be 313 or later. Please update.”

To fix this issue, perform the following steps:

1. Go to ‘Start’ –> ActiveUSB
2. Click on ‘Install Camera Driver’
3. If a security message appears, click on ‘Install or OK’

This should do the trick!
