I get playback sound but the recorded audio file is empty. Focusrite not working (HDS)
The driver of the FocusRite Scarlett soundcard can sometimes be malfunctioning after a Windows Update. It may be required to reinstall it.
Simply download it from the following link and reinstall it, with the soundcard unplugged:

We have shipped 2nd and 3rd gen Scarlett 2i2 cards, so make sure you download the correct driver (the generation is written on the back of the card).
With the driver reinstalled, reboot the computer and then plug the card again.
